Production Coordinator - Office of Communications and Marketing - (20001093)
This is a limited term position for 1 year.
The Office of University Communications and Marketing has overall responsibility for marketing and brand management, media relations, and content generation producing various digital and print publications and communications for the university. The office optimizes the coordination of strategies and programs for these areas.
Partnering with the marketing strategists, the production coordinator tracks print and digital projects through various stages of development and final proofs through to the timely delivery/send/go-live of all projects. S/he builds and manages production schedules for print and digital projects, including event and fundraising collateral (e.g., brochures, save the date cards/emails, print and e-invitations, e-appeals, website updates) and other projects to support university marketing efforts. S/he works closely with the Creative and Digital Services team, freelance writers and designers, and colleagues throughout the university to coordinate deliverables, timely reviews, and inform all project team members of deadlines and next steps. S/he provides quality assurance/acts as a testing resource for all projects, as well as delivers all content and instructions to printers and mail houses, ensuring timely completion and delivery of publications and print jobs.
Strong understanding of print and digital production timelines and tasks.
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience simultaneously managing many projects, each potentially utilizing a mix of internal and freelance resources.
Impeccable customer service skills and consultative demeanor.
Experience working in support of digital creative teams on email/webpage production.
Experience working with vendors on print production and direct-mail fulfillment.
Must demonstrate proven ability to prioritize under pressure and deal with frequent changes.
Possesses strong diplomatic skills, collaborates effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization, and understands the need for impeccable customer service to internal and external business partners.
Demonstrates an aptitude for handling vendors and freelance contractors with professionalism and with the university's best interests top of mind.
B.A. or B.S. in related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience working in a communications or marketing department.
