Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time administrative experience. Experience working in fundraising. Proficient in database or contact management software (i.e. Raiser's Edge).
Three or more (3+) years of experience in fundraising to include a track record of success in raising funds from individual donors or organizations. Experience at a University Annual Fund or as a University fundraising caller. SUNY working experience.
Brief Description of Duties:
Reporting to the Executive Director for Annual Giving. The Annual Giving Coordinator will be responsible for increasing fundraising outcomes for recent graduates and the senior class.
Manage and increase fundraising outcomes for young alumni and the senior class with the aim of generating $20K in revenue Senior class Gift and $200K from young alumni
Oversee a senior class giving committee focused on educating and mobilizing seniors to give back to the areas they care most about across campus.
Manage the annual giving teams effective deployment of digital online tools and emerging technologies as they relate to student and young alumni giving.
Collaborate with the Alumni Relations team to design and execute a yearly young alumni fundraising social or similar engagement event.
Staff senior class events and programs, young alumni events such as 40 under 40 and manage the vendor relationships that are critical to successfully growing these programs.
Support special projects to increase giving from Stony Brook affinity groups such as WUSB.
Analyze metrics and key performance indicators for young alumni and senior class giving to ensure best practices and lessons learned. Shares these metrics with senior management.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption. Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
