POSITION TITLE: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER III
DEPARTMENT: BISD – ENTERPRISE DATA AND REPORTING
Bachelor Degree in Computer or Information Science or equivalent experience in an IT environment required.
Minimum of five years of experience in Information Technology project management required.
Experience working as Scrum Master on medium to large complex agile projects required.
Experience with major agile ceremonies and processes, including backlog grooming, planning, and retrospectives required.
Project management experience through the entire project life cycle required.
Experience working with outside consulting partners preferred.
Experience with cloud based or data analytics projects preferred.
Experience working and integrating as part of a larger team within a long-term strategic or transformative program preferred.
PMP or agile certification, or demonstrated evidence towards certification preferred.
Experience working in asset management preferred.
Experience with enterprise Project Management tools required; experience with Primavera preferred.
Manage multiple medium to large complex projects through the entire project life cycle using primarily Scrum methodology.
Act as liaison with vendors, partners and clients.
Work with the project sponsor, program manager, product owner, consulting partners and other stakeholders to ensure backlogs and sprint plans accurately reflects desired business outcomes.
Work within the Enterprise Data Strategy Program to contribute to an environment of collaboration, cooperation and teamwork.
Obtain Senior Management approval for the work being initiated and prepare and submit scope documents for approval.
Coordinate, prepare and lead the discussions and meetings to define work activities and sprint plans. Prepare all required project documentation, including funding and budget, risk analysis, and other documentation as required.
Execute the sprint plan on schedule and within budget with effective management of scope, time, quality and cost constraints.
Escalate project issues to the sponsor, vendor, program manager, functional manager, or senior management, as appropriate.
Communicate status to all stakeholders according to the communication plan.
Ensure that the goals and deliverables as described on the project scope document are met.
Actively manage material changes to the scope and schedule.
Conduct meetings as required with the project team.
