The Energy Services Project Engineer is responsible for leading innovation culture in EnergyUnited through supporting industry benchmarking efforts for Energy Services and integrating lessons learned into projects for the company. A perfect candidate for this position will possess a keen technical knowledge of project management and agile development methodologies along with a proficiency in related processes pertaining to project portfolio management, tools and metrics. This work includes selection and testing of technology and products with responsibilities primarily involved with the development or improvement of actual products or designs. This position requires exceptional communication skills to successfully lead project teams and partner with internal stakeholders.
Normal Day-to-Day Work
Conduct research associated with the design and development of new Energy Services models and products.
Design and organize the execution of an energy storage pilot program.
Track and lead projects relating to distributed energy resources and energy efficiency.
Research and lead projects around incorporating new technology in the company in alignment with EnergyUnited’s strategy roadmap.
Review and evaluate research designs for improving performance of Energy Services products or other factors to obtain data for development.
Provide general administrative and organizational support to Energy Services.
Track Energy Services department initiatives along with strategy roadmap completion.
Develop monthly project and department progress reports alongside other Energy Services direct reports.
Drive the development and communication of meaningful program management metrics that will enable the organization to identify beneficial trends and themes.
Coordinate & communicate department initiatives and projects to management, staff and others.
Continually monitor industry trends, evaluate new products and services for potential, and participate in industry working groups.

Job Qualifications - Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
BA/BS degree in electrical engineering, engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4-5 years of deep, related, work experience in project management and emerging technology.
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint with ability to create executive level management presentations.
Possess and maintain a valid NC Driver’s License.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills as well as possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
Ability to understand industry concepts and write about them clearly and concisely.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Successful track record managing projects and working with colleagues to accomplish common objectives.
Be a self-starter with an attitude of neatness, timeliness, orderliness, and accuracy.
Be available to work during adverse weather conditions when necessary.Ability to maintain confidentiality.
