Deputy Director of SHPO, Manager of Client Services for Gender Equity

The Deputy Director of the Sexual Harassment Policy Office (SHPO) and Manager of Client Services for Gender Equity (Deputy Director) is a senior role and will lead the day to day operations of SHPO under the direction of the Director. The Deputy Director will have primary responsibility for providing case management oversight for all reported matters involving gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, and similar matters. Case management will include intake services, explaining university policies and processes to parties, ensuring that parties are connected to university or community resources, and ensuring that parties are kept up to date on the status of their matter. Must be trained in trauma informed methods of working with individuals. Must have facility in working compassionately and effectively with individuals in crisis.
Additionally, working with the Director, the Deputy Director will provide support for the Sexual Harassment Advisors program, and all training programs for faculty, staff, post-doctoral scholars, and in partnership with the Title IX and SARA Offices, student programming. The Deputy Director will have substantial oversight of budget operations and may supervise staff.
Provide case management oversight for all reported matters involving gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, and similar matters. Case management will include intake services, explaining university policies and processes to parties, ensuring that parties are connected to university or community resources, and ensuring that parties are kept up to date on the status of their matter.
Oversee the day to day operations of the office, including budget management. Develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
With the Director, oversee training and education programs, monitor compliance efforts and assess training needs. May develop associated training.
Oversee Sexual Harassment Advisors program.
Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategies that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues, and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures. Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
Oversee systems database for case tracking.
May direct and/or supervise staff.

Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Certificates and Licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships across the institution and peer institutions.
