The Executive Director plays a key role in overall development, strategic planning, program delivery, fundraising, and management of the organization. If you're passionate about supporting youth and ready to flex your management, fundraising, and relationship building skills, then this is the job for you! As the leader of this organization, you should be familiar with the sport of rowing but will first and foremost be a proven team leader and strategic manager. (This is not a head coach position.) CTC is in a phase of growth limited only by your imagination!
Participate with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide CTC
Provide support to the Board by preparing meeting agenda and supporting materials
Operational planning and management
Develop an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of CTC
Ensure that the operation of CTC meets the expectations of its clients, Board and Funders
Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of CTC
Program planning and management
Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of CTC's programs and services and special projects
Human resources planning and management
Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for all staff§ Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
Financial planning and management
Work with the Board to secure adequate funding for the operation of CTC
Research funding sources, oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of CTC
Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate
Administer the funds of CTC according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of CTC
Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of CTC and to identify changes in the community served by CTC
Represent CTC at community activities to enhance CTC's community profile
Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of CTC
Identify and evaluate the risks to CTC's people (clients, staff, management, volunteers), property, finances, goodwill, and image and implement measures to control risks
