Holton-Arms invites applications for the full time position of Innovation Integrator & Computer Science Teacher. Interested applicants should have a strong background in technology and technology integration. The successful candidate is responsible for helping drive the Holton-Arms faculty, staff, and students in their exploration and implementation of various innovative technologies. In addition, the ideal candidate can teach a robust Middle School Computer Science curriculum, grades 6-8 (including digital citizenship, computer programming, 3D printing, app development, web development, and various maker activities), and provide technology and maker support to faculty.
Collegiality and an eagerness to collaborate with colleagues on advancing the school’s strategic initiatives are essential. We seek individuals who are eager to help integrate technology into grades 3-12. The successful candidate will collaborate with the computer science department to advance and ensure consistency of the program across all grade levels. You must be passionate about technology and computer science, collaborative, self-directed, have a great sense of humor, and must be willing to learn.
This is a 10 month position and a member of the school’s technology department and computer science department.
- Innovation Integration
o Assess current technology initiatives and provide feedback for improvement to those programs.
o Proactively collaborate with teachers to integrate innovative teaching concepts and tools into their curriculum.
o Continually stay abreast of emerging K-12 technology and computer science trends
o Provide formal and informal professional development opportunities and learning experiences
o Provide general technology assistance, as necessary, to all levels of users.
o Computer Science
O Grade 6 - Design Technology (STEAM)
O Grade 7 - Problem Solving
O Grade 8 - Web Development ( or other meaningful application of coding skills)
o Engage/Inspire/Prepare girls for complex problem solving / computational thinking.
o Work closely with Computer Science and Technology departments, sharing a genuine passion for evolving curriculum and pedagogy.
- Student Support
o Deliver orientations for students, particularly, but not limited to, the start of the academic year
o Provide assistance to students working on projects related to technology initiatives
o Co-Teaching, delivering technology presentations and lessons as needed
Knowledge, Skill, Experience

o Have formal experience teaching children
