Design Associate

The X Company is a fast-paced disruptive consumer lifestyle brand with real estate assets across the country.  We’re looking to bring a designer on to our team who has the ability to manage multiple projects while contributing to our overall brand aesthetic, design standards, and processes. Key Responsibilities

The Design Associate will work closely with the Pre-development and Development Teams to ensure our projects will meet the functional, programmatic, and design standards of The X Company. Responsibilities include:

• Providing assistance in maintaining, developing, and refining our standard documentation
• Reviewing floor plans and specifications to ensure alignment with product standards and cost expectations
• Providing support in the production and review of renderings produced by third-parties
• Assisting in the establishment of relationships with vendors and tracking relevant specifications and pricing information
• Performing research and analysis on topics selected to improve the product; including but not limited to relevant typologies and precedent projects, and discovering products/specifications/FF&E

• Applicants must supply a varied, yet concise portfolio of their most relevant and recent work; 15 pages maximum.
• Compensation commensurate with experience. Equity in company vested over time.
• Position located exclusively in Chicago, Illinois.
