Aspire is currently seeking a highly motivated Grant Specialist that will be responsible for researching, writing, and developing strategies to increase funding through the submission of grant proposals. This individual will oversee contract grant writers, work closely with colleagues to identify funding opportunities, generate and submit reports, and assist with program development in accordance with grant requirements.
Research and develop strategies to secure new funding resources from private, non-profit and government sources
Draft and submit grant proposals, reports, letters of intent, budgets and presentations according grant requirements
Manage timelines and develop project plans to ensure timely submission of grant proposals and reports
Develop and maintain files connected to programs funded by grants
Manage contract grant writers and assist in identifying level three funding
Track all grant and sponsorship activity in an organized manner, including application and reporting deadlines
Provide exceptional customer service to donors by being responsive and providing assistance with services and information as needed
Support managers in new program development and evaluations to ensure funding is utilized in accordance with grant requirements
Performs other related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in related field-required
Minimum of three years’ experience in grant writing-required
Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and the ability to locate potential sources for funding
Excellent verbal and written communication skills-required
Extremely organized and meticulous with details
Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources
