Sales Engineer - Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources 14135
The Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is seeking applications for a Sales Engineer (Research Associate).This position provides technical sales, marketing, and project management support to the Center for Innovation in Gas Research and Utilization.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Prepare/deliver technical presentations to prospective customers and partners.
Meet with customers to determine needs and requirements
Collaborate with CIGRU researchers to understand customer requirements
Form partnerships with other universities, industry, foundations, and potential funding sources
Research and develop new avenues of funding for center. Provide feedback to CIGRU faculty on industry needs to guide future research.
Maintain channels of communication with clients and the internal team to deliver proposals, projects, and follow up timely and efficiently.
Secure research funding from federal agencies and industrial companies
Maintain current records of client firms, proposals, and project status.
Participate in meetings, conferences and events for industry and other partners.
Edit and revise research proposals written by faculty in engineering
Extensive travel is required.
A bachelor degree in an engineering discipline is required.
Five (5) - seven (7) years of experience in technological sales and marketing.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter who works well in an independent setting.
Must possess strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of leadership development.
Superior time management and organizational skills.
Highly capable in both oral and written communication.
Ability to travel frequently.
Valid driver's license
