The Research Project Manager A will assist with day to day management of a large multi-center cohort study and research consortium. Â Â The Project Manager A will serve as the point of contact between ancillary studies investigators from multiple institutions and the review committee; reviewing ancillary research study proposals for completeness and possible scientific overlap with other proposals as well as assisting with preparation of documentation for grant submissions. This position will also assist with management of a pilot study funding program which includes solicitation of applications from the research community, communications with a large set of applicants and reviewers, management of a REDCap database and internal documentation as well as monitoring progress of funded applications. The Project Manager A will also manage the publications program for the research consortium, serving as the point of contact for submission of manuscript proposals from consortium investigators and acting as liaison between the proposal author, NIH representatives, and the study publications committees.Â This position will review proposals to ensure adherence with consortium policies.Â In addition to tracking the progress of manuscript development/submission, this position will effectively communicate decisions and recommendations to investigators, providing scientific rationale for the decisions.Â Â The Project Manager A will organize and lead internal team meetings, creating the agendas, assist with planning and support for off-site meetings, and recording meeting minutes and action items.Â This position will perform simple website management and website content development, and document internal processes.Â Some travel is required.
The Research Project Manager B will be responsible for the above duties as well as serving as the primary project manager for the ancillary studies program and pilot study funding program for the multi-center cohort study. Qualifications Research Project Mgr A: Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Research Project Mgr B: Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or Master's Degree and 3 to 5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.Â The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting is required. Must possess excellent project management skills, communication skills and organizational skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Â Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Powerpoint, Word, and Excel is required. Experience with REDCap databases is preferred.
