(San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, San Rafael or Vallejo)
Regional foster care and adoption agency for children with offices throughout the Bay Area and Metro Sacramento seeks a dynamic and well-rounded candidate for the position of Director of Resource Development (DRD) to help us fulfill our mission to fundamentally transform the life trajectory of hundreds of children in need. The DRD reports directly to the CEO, and will interface with an incredibly dedicated staff and an enthusiastic, motivated board of directors. The scope of this role includes grant procurement and donor, campaign, and some event management.
This newly created position is much more than a job. We’re looking for a special person who can help change the lives of children and is open to having their own life changing experience.
Our approach to the care of vulnerable children is innovative, detail oriented, community-based, inclusive and creative. We celebrate diversity, equal opportunity, and excellence. In a nutshell: It’s all about the kids.
Our approach to Resource Development is the same. It’s all about the kids. Our entire organization – board, staff and resource families are poised to support the DRD’s efforts to bring our children resources. Flex time and/or working out of any of our offices (Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Rafael, Vallejo and Santa Rosa) or out of your own home are possible. Our data and over 40 years of experience in the sector tells us the public is ready to embrace our message of clinical excellence and hope for neglected children. We seek that special person with the skills to spread that word and mold the public’s interest into real resources that changes children’s lives.
