Under the technical direction of the Centura IT Communications, this position will deomonstrate subject matter expertise (SME) in one of more of the following areas of Unified Communications Technologies. Data Security, Cisco Enterprise Wireless Technologies, Enterprise Video Technologies, and Cisco Enterprise Voice Technologies. The position is responsible for research , planning, and successful implementation and support of technology solutions designed and tested by the IT Communications Architecture Team. The objective for these qualified team members is to continually improve the delivery of technology that will enhance the quality of care provided to Centura Health patients by their care givers. As a subject matter expert, this position will take a lead role in not only supporting technologies they implement, but also share knowledge throughout the organization, evaluating new technologies and comparing them to current Centura Health Standards to ensure that any new system will provide Centura's enterprise with the best value and meet all requirements in alignment with a proposed solution. This role will provide mentoring to junior staff members, setting those staff members on a solid career path within Centura Health IT Communications while enriching those staff members with knowledge and confidence to demonstrate the new skills in support of the Centura Health Unified Communications environment. While each person in this role may have a specific expertise, the following hardware/applications are of the highest priority and responsibility will fall on them for management and support. A security SME would support all Network Firewalls, intrusinon detection/prevention systems, network proxy applications, web traffic filters, remote access infrastructure and VPN technologies. They can expect to work closely and in conjunction with the Director of Data Security, who sets policy to protect electronic health and financial data and meet compliance criteria. The Wireless SME would have responsibility to design, implement, and manage Centura's wireless network infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include high availability of wireless infrastructure, managing across teams that could have an impact on wireless connectivity and ensuring all critical components and configurations necessary for succesfull use of wireless technologies are adequately functional. A Voice SME will manage and support voice infrastructure hardware and applications ensuring standard process and configurations are being adhered to. Included in these voice SME responsibilities are implementation of large scale VoIP systems, integration with Centura approved technologies like Nurse call, Unified Messaging, facility based mobile devices and Contact Center technologies. The Video SME is responsible for design and implementation of Video and Conference Room Technologies, Tele-Health solutions and client voice/video integrations. All of these SME's require successful levels of team dynamics. All must have ability to demonstrate highly successful functionality with little direct supervision and must meet all of Centura's standard policies and protocols. They must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting documented deadlines. These individuals require a high level of proficiency in their own subject of expertise, but also good working knowledge of all IT infrastructure as well as applications critical to the Centura Health enterprise. These individuals will have the responsibility to create support documentation within 60 days of any project completion and /or infrastructrue changes. They will have proficiency with network monitoring and reporting tools. Must demonstrate a consistent and professional ability to interface with vendor support service groups and communicate at a high level of technical analysis in order to protect the best interests of Centura Health and its patients, physicians, and associates. They will assist IT Communications Architectures with testing, scheduling, and coordination of new system upgrades and implementations. Consistently demonstrates exceptional IT Communication troubleshooting skills with an indepth knowledge of networking protocols. May function as directed in a technical lead position overseeing projects specific to the areas of data security, wireless infrastructure, voice systems, and video systems providing guidance and training for any junior staff. Required to rotate on-call in a 24 X 7 support environment.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
8 years of voice or data communications systems support experience in a large enterprise environment.
Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred.
3-5 years of data security focus, wireless network design and implementation, and/or voice over IP in a large enterprise network environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Physical Requirements:Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to10lbs force occasionally)
