The Local Community Manager is responsible for building relationships with and supporting User Groups and Leaders. This includes listening to member feedback to build out benefits and content while consistently recruiting, onboarding and developing new User Groups and volunteers. This position will build a well-balanced volunteer team, share best practices, provide leader resources and will effectively utilize Dynamics Communities’ systems, processes, and assets.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Work with Partner and User Group Members seeking User Group involvement as a member, leader, sponsor or subject matter expert
Respond to and provide support for User Group Leaders including help with content, speakers, meeting location and issues
Participate in User Group development, maintenance, and annual review activities
Strategize, plan, and execute initiatives to increase member attendance and retention
Provide training and resources that encourage User Group Leader and member engagement
Oversee the planning and execution of local user group events related to content, marketing, speakers and logistics
Explore industry trends, developments, and community practices to help grow the User Group and provide input for additional benefits and needs of the users
Develop measurable business relationships with industry influencers
Perform other related duties within the scope of position as required
BA/BS Degree or Equivalent
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to form relationships with a diverse type of people
Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a self-directed, virtual environment
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
Flexible individual with the skills and attitude to engage in the maturation of the programs and member benefits
Data-minded individual with strong analytical skills
Event planning and project management experience
Individual that enjoys the opportunity to travel
Power Platform experience
Desire for continuous improvement through growth of programs and member benefits
Experience working with an Association or other member-based organization

Grow User Group membership and engagement
Raise the average health score for local user groups
Work 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be necessary
Travel will be required for this role, averaging one to two trips per quarter. This will include some international travel.
Telecommuting is allowed.
