The Clinical Informatics Specialist will be responsible for:
Providing leadership to clinical departments in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining an efficient and effective clinical information system.
Ensuring compliance with business and clinical procedures and protocols and ensuring consistency in application system use by staff.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a closely related field and a minimum of three years nursing experience .
Enrollment in a Master's program for informatics or comparable clinical leadership academic program.
Progressive experience in business and clinical process improvement, organizational change and project management as well as a minimum of three years business involvement in electronic Clinical/Healthcare Systems.
The analytical skills to resolve scientific, clinical, human resources, legal, financial, or administrative problems that require the innovative application of the highest levels of specialized knowledge and/or develop financial and operating plans for one of the hospital's major divisions and/or foundations.
Up to date knowledge and understanding of clinical practice, computer hardware, software applications, and their utilization.
Certification, Registration, or Licensure.
Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, the Clinical Information Systems Specialist oversees and examines current processes and protocols and compares them to best practice and standards, identifying areas that require improvement and recommend solutions to achieve desired outcome.
