Radford University is looking for an innovative and experienced HR professional to support HR strategy that factors in organization's long-term objectives while promoting diversity, equity, civility, and respect. The primary purpose of this role is to develop a comprehensive talent acquisition, engagement and retention strategy as part of university's strategic plan, and broader workforce planning, leadership development and succession planning initiatives. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership and play an active role in formulating the on-going employee experience philosophy focusing on alignment, culture, engagement and accountability. You will bring new ideas, industry best practices and innovative approaches to the organization; build trust, credibility and inspire solutions-focused approaches. To succeed, you will be expected to display excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines. You will possess strong customer service orientation and communication skills, with the ability to support a diverse range of internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Additionally, you will proactively research the markets, analyze trends and formulate strategic advice for leaders while working with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Experience implementing new strategies and approaches to talent acquisition, and proven experience partnering with business leaders to build workforce planning initiatives.
Expertise in digital marketing and recruiting platforms/tools, and employer brand best practice.
Demonstrated experience creating and executing a recruiting strategy for a growing organization including tools, templates, frameworks, information, and resources to support execution of organization-wide talent processes.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements, policies and/or business practices.
Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, utilize metrics, and make data driven recommendations or decisions to resolve issues.
Experience in change management and communications planning.
Experience building comprehensive recruitment and sourcing plans with proven success in having sourced leadership candidates using networking, social media, events or other programs.
Experience with sourcing/networking tools to achieve successful hires.
Experience with higher education or state government HR information systems such as PeopleAdmin, Banner, PMIS or similar.
Experience leading a successful talent acquisition team.
