The Director, Marketing will be a key partner in driving the association’s record growth in revenue, members, donations and event attendees. This leadership position manages a team that oversees marketing campaigns & programs, creative, and research. This is an opportunity to build on an existing brand, collaborate with association stakeholders, develop data driven strategy, and exceed goals. We are looking for an executive who brings experience in utilizing direct marketing, advertising, social media, website, creative and brand marketing experience to support ENA’s mission to advance excellence in emergency nursing.
A typical day in the life of a Marketing Director:
Develops marketing strategies and plans, for all ENA products, programs and services in collaboration with ENA’s officers and directors and directs the execution of the plans and related tactics.
Contributes to the development of competitive analysis, pricing recommendations, sales and promotion strategies and plans to further ENA’s growth strategy.
Develops and maintains ENA’s brand strategy, including brand guidelines and messaging, program and product integration and alignment across ENA distribution channels.
Collaborates with a cross-functional team to contribute to strategic, consistent brand image as part of ENA’s digital strategy, using various platforms, such as the ENA website, social media and other digital channels.
Oversees organizational market research strategy and employs a strategic, data-driven approach to decision-making, ensuring marketing plans are developed based on market data and analytics.
Develops and evaluates metrics to monitor performance of marketing plans and adjusts plans accordingly to ensure strategic goals are being met.
Oversees the purchasing of print, media, merchandise, graphic design, and other materials and services necessary to execute marketing plans.
Develops appropriate budgets to support the execution of marketing plans.
Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Empowers employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegates responsibility and expects accountability and regular feedback.
Collaborates with ENA Human Resources for the recruiting, onboarding, retention, professional development and performance management of staff.
Contributes to the workplace culture that is consistent with the association’s culture statement and emphasizes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Displays a high level of accountability, taking responsibility for individual actions and the impact on the organization. Views oneself as a reflection of the organization by following through on commitments and accepting ownership.
Performs additional related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, major in marketing
Minimum of 5-7 years in marketing, with demonstrated skills and proven track record of success
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated management experience
Experience purchasing advertising and marketing services
It’s a Plus If:
Master’s degree in business
Project management experience
Association and non-profit experience
