Job Summary: As a member of the Global Collaboration (GC) team of Northwestern Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs, the Senior Program Coordinator focuses on the development, quality assessment, and launch of global Forums on the multilingual digital platform designed to generate collaborative exchange of ideas on global challenges. This includes direct support for global leaders and participating members, analysis of membership growth at local and global levels, outreach support, and enhancement of the user experience in collaboration with leadership, partners, and Northwestern IT technical staff.
Oversees & ensures that day-to-day operations are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
Acts as liaison to IT to ensure technology systems are properly installed & maintained & meet the informational, analytical & computing needs of users.
Ensures necessary hardware, software & network infrastructure services are appropriated from central or internal IT.
Issues work order requests for maintenance, repairs & upgrades.
Assists international university partners, global members, and other stakeholders on the development, quality assessment, and launch of Forum research topics on the digital platform.
In collaboration with the Director, liaises with NUIT on forum technology and system integration.
Manages daily relationship with NUIT for Global Collaboration activities and projects, report, digital platform user issues providing evaluations, and provide regular updates to the Director and team.
Assists with production process for research outputs of Global Collaboration activities.
Communication, Outreach & Recruitment
Ensures program/project success in regard to revenue & expense goals including recruitment, participation, etc.
Identifies opportunities and strategies for short- and long-term growth & expansion.
Oversees marketing of new and current programs, working with partner institutions & media to ensure marketing plan effectively targets applicants, sponsors, etc.
Ensures that all advertising and marketing materials accurately represent programs.
Works with Northwestern Buffett Communications on forum promotion strategy and content.
Leads targeting and invitation process for member participation in forums.
Provides research and content support to Forum leaders, and associated research groups as needed, and ensure content shared via platform, web and social media as appropriate.
Handles member approval process with global Membership Committees, onboarding for forum platform and customer relationship management system, tracking of regular communication efforts with user/members, and activity reporting.
Manages development and maintenance of evaluation processes including associated metrics and key performance indicators.
Reviews & analyzes outcome measurements and recommends changes & enhancements to improve program/project.
Collaborates with internal/external partners to implement changes designed to improve/increase program/project goals/objectives.
Provides ongoing reports and assessment of global and local strategic membership growth and development, based on data, outreach goals, and global and local research priorities.
Supports the Associate Director, Global Collaboration on engagement with Meridian leadership around global membership development strategy, assessment of member experience in relation to the forums, and forum topic development.
Supports the Associate Director, Research on campus wide faculty membership development strategy for Northwestern.
Develops metrics for forum success, in collaboration with leadership and global partners, and monitors metrics.
Manages planning and arrangement of meetings, workshops, events, etc. designed to exchange information, promote research objectives, and to build internal and external relationships within NU.
Researches competitor, and state-of-the art developments to enhance, improve, and innovate program curricula and delivery to better meet goals & objectives.
Continually assesses and innovates program/project to achieve educational goals.
Provides advice & counsel & recommends changes & improvements to functional operations to better meet organizational needs & objectives.
Supports the Director for redesign or major enhancements of the platform system, based on program strategy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
2 years of program/project administration or other relevant experience.
Experience with data tracking and analysis.
Excellent communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills; strong editing and proofreading skills.
Analytical skills; high degree of initiative, resourcefulness and creativity.
Aptitude for both independent and collaborative work.
Able to work well under time constraints with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Masters degree preferred.
5+ years of graduate level research or equivalent academic work.
3+ years of research experience or graduate level work.
1-2 years of experience with program management or organizational operations.
Experience with CRM, Drupal software, or IT systems and platforms
