Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of physical security measures at all facilities owned or occupied by Zimmer Biomet (ZB) around the globe, handling confidential and private matters. Collaborate with the Head of Global Security Services to develop and implement strategies to protect ZB assets whether they are human, physical or intellectual anywhere they are located in the world. Oversee activities in the company Global Security Operations Center as those activities pertain to physical security measures, incident response, business traveler risk management and global security systems monitoring. May travel to ZB sites worldwide to provide support for investigation or incident response. Work closely and collaborate with business leaders across the enterprise.
Facilitate the implementation of industry best practices for physical and technical security elements, access controls, lighting and security signage, CCTV and video management systems, alarm systems, communication systems, visitor management, emergency response, etc.
Develop and maintain physical and technical security policies and standards for the company; document and update facility physical security plans.
Conduct location specific security audits and assessments to validate compliance with company security policies and standards.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders including executive management, other corporate groups and teams, and business lines.
Solve issues independently with minimal direct guidance utilizing detailed investigative notes and root cause analysis.
Contribute to strategic objectives of the organization by managing projects from conception through implementation.
Oversee the management and effectiveness of physical security services contracted from third parties (including but not limited to security guard services); Audit and evaluate third party security staff performance.
Oversee, maintain and monitor physical security infrastructure.
Monitor and audit compliance with client specific physical security requirements at appropriate ZB facilities.
Manage global physical security investigations.
Facilitate and support company interactions with law enforcement for any physical security incident
Preferred certifications: ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Certified Emergency Management (CEM); Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
