Temporary - Web UX/UI Design Associate (Summer Intern)

In this role as a UX/UI Design Associate, you will be working with the Web Development Services (WDS) team to launch the new version of the Princeton Site Builder platform, powered by Drupal 8. You work collaboratively with developers, designers, project managers, and service stakeholders to create user-friendly, on brand sites. Learn how to consider all perspectives and think like a site builder, content manager, and end-user.
What you’ll be doing:
Conducting usability testing by building sites, identifying potential customer roadblocks, making recommendations for improvements, and testing new features prior to production
Researching design systems and trends, software, web accessibility, and CSS
Creating wireframes, style tiles, and mockups in Sketch or Figma
Learning about the Princeton University brand and how it is represented visually
Writing CSS to customize the WDS Drupal theme
Using Jira to write User Stories for new features
Skills you bring to the table:

Knowledge of site building content management systems, such as SquareSpace, Wix, WordPress, or Drupal
