ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Project Management Professional 4 is responsible for overseeing and participating in design, development and overall client services project deployment and support. Under minimal direction, this position will act as a project manager for multiple project streams and new strategic initiatives from initiation to completion. The Technical Project Management Professional 4 is an experienced project and/or program manager with technical expertise. The position is responsible for all aspects of project life cycle, including work flow process improvements and provide expert guidance where needed. Assist with budget and resource forecasting to support various initiatives in the organization. Including, but not limited to, new facilities client infrastructure deployment, strategic planning, budgeting, technical escalations, project management, customer and vendor relationship management, technical guidance, client systems planning and Implementation, and other special projects and new initiatives as assigned. Required Qualifications
Experience in Information Technology (IT) project implementation, and experience leading small to enterprise-level large scale initiatives for both COTS and in-house systems.
Experience in managing IT projects using sound project management methodologies, principles and techniques.
Strong knowledge of Project Life Cycle processes.
Proven analytical and organizational skills to assess, analyze, organize and monitor project progress and risks.
Demonstrated experience in successfully organizing and managing multiple projects, varying workload in a dynamic team environment and coordinate resources in a matrix environment.
Experience in conducting technical assessments, preparing reports, and recommend results and solutions, concisely and clearly.
Proven experience with sound and independent decision-making skills.
Proven experience working with IT equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, and monitors.
Build professional, cohesive and collaborative relationships with team members, customers and project stakeholders.
Proven project documentation skills (written) including but not limited to meeting-minutes, assessments, charters, plans, metrics, resource logs, issue logs, status updates and project closing documents.
Experience working in a healthcare or customer service organization.
Translate problems into effective solutions and ability to communicate in a non-defensive and an empathetic manner.
Possess strong customer service skills and ability to maintain focus on tasks or issues on hand.
Skill in establishing rapport and credibility with others to convey a professional, collaborative and customer-oriented attitude.
Working experience supporting and interacting a wide range of administrators, faculty, staff, along with external vendors and other university campuses.
Experience with creating and maintaining technical and support documentation.
Must be able to work extra hours (nights and weekends) if go-live or important deployment is behind schedule or the correction of problems with operational systems is considered critical. Valid California Driver's license.
Must be able to lift up to 10lbs.
Speak, hear and see well enough to perform system configurations and telephone consulting. Must be available for on-call as needed
