Responsible for planning, administering and completing assigned projects, which may cross several functional areas, such as facilities, operations, marketing, or administration. Assignments may vary in length and complexity, but are generally not permanent. Does not typically supervise staff, but may provide work direction to individuals supporting a project.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor degree in business administration, sales, finance, economics or other businessrelated field, MBA preferred. Experience: Typically, 3 - 5 years of experience as project/program manager. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written. Ability to motivate team members to provide their best performance. Ability to resolve team conflict. Ability to perform financial analysis. Able to explain complex benchmarking, budget and financial information to a broad range of individuals from various backgrounds. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Lawson, and other applications as needed. Able to prioritize workload, assume responsibility for work and follow through to completion. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external colleagues. Strong knowledge and experience in project methodology with proven experience in project leadership roles with well-developed experience executing complex projects. Demonstrated well-developed strategic thinking and a customer service orientation. Strong experience in successfully managing a variety of significant cross-functional projects in parallel. Well-developed ability to quickly understand enterprise and business segment objectives. Well-developed ability to build trust and strong relationships with customers (business partners). Well-developed ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization including senior management, usually through oral and written presentations. Expert knowledge of MS Project and Office applications. ~Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
