Involves managing or performing the administrative services or managing the full general operations of an academic or non-academic organization(s). Administrative services includes activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management includes long and short range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.
Uses professional concepts to apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues. Administers defined operational program. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope.
Under the direction of the Director of Business & Resource Management, the Student Achievement & Equity Innovation (SAEI) Administrative Specialist provides administrative support and project management for SAEI projects, initiatives and programs. The SAEI Administrative Specialist serves as administrative and project support on a myriad of policy and administrative issues related to fiscal and resource management of SAEI. The SAEI Administrative Specialist will work with the Associate Vice Chancellor of SAEI, all SAEI units and campus partners including, students, staff and faculty.
Student Achievement & Equity Innovation Administration is made up of the following units: Disability Resource Center, Educational Opportunity Programs, Learning Support Services, Resource Centers (African American, American Indian, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Chicano/Latino, Women's Center, Lionel Cantu Queer Center), Services for Transfer and Re-Entry Students, and HSI Grant Initiatives MAPA, Cultivamos Excelencia, and SEMILLA. SAEI provides services to the campus community with over 17,000 undergraduate and graduate students and has over 77 career staff employees and 865 student staff employees operating in 8 locations.
