This position serves as an Office Administrative Associate in the ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL) and provides administrative support to assigned Center Of Excellence (COE) faculty member, internal and external researchers, and associated research group; provides day-to-day administrative support to and assists in execution of sponsored research tasks; manages details of assigned faculty’s calendar and email; creates and proofs communication, correspondences, and presentations; develops and maintains accurate website and social media content to promote sponsored research content and events, in coordination with Engineering Research Operations (ERO) and College of Engineering (CoE) Marketing and Communications contacts; works closely with appropriate fiscal and ESL Operations Staff to provide complete and accurate purchasing, travel, and reimbursement information for sponsored research program needs; assists the ESL leadership team and faculty/PIs to execute projects and program initiatives and track program spending; assists with sponsored project management, including providing administrative details and metrics, and tracking and monitoring proposal deadlines in coordination with Grants Coordinator; coordinates and effectively manages sponsored research center events and courses; acts as liaison to College of Engineering (CoE), University, industry partners and vendors for event and course coordination; administrative support to research operations, including onboarding new research group members and assisting with student recruitment efforts; requests access, space and facility, and software requests for research groups and programs and events; uses substantial judgement and independent decision making authority when acting on behalf of assigned faculty/PIs; performs other duties and works on special projects as assigned.

Six months of experience (600 hours of course work or training) in customer service or communications, including researching, analyzing & interpreting information; three months of experience (300 hours of course work) in budgeting.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling and presentation software; demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy, exercise sound judgment; ability to multi-task while maintaining complex programs and schedules; ability to communicate with college and university leaders in an effective and professional manner; experience editing and maintaining webpages.
Target Salary: $19.23 - $22.00 Hourly
