Job Description Summary: This position will serve the Student Engagement team in coordinating WebNet+ (synchronous online) courses throughout the Webster University system. Additionally, the role will coordinate with other team members in general faculty support (course scheduling, communications, training, orientation, and other administrative duties) that is managed by the Student Engagement team.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Strong computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite of software High level of skill with Excel, including pivot tables Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, must be able to work with university constituents at all levels, including faculty and deans. Writing skills must be exceptional, with a knowledge of standard business correspondence forms and expectations. Knowledge and ability to use office equipment such as computer, multi-line telephone and call center software, copier, printer, etc. Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations within the University community. Candidate must have an appreciation and understanding of a busy and demanding office environment
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a university setting preferred but not required
Essential Duties This role is responsible for the following functions with the WebNet+ delivery modality: Oversee day to day operations of WebNet+ (campus to campus video conferencing) process and offerings working across multiple campus units. Operations include the following: Process new course applications Input new faculty in to asynchronous training Answer extended site questions Answer questions from faculty and students utilizing the modality Run reports to ensure WN+ courses are correct in scheduling system (CARS) Lead WebNet+ student webinars and orientation Manage WebNet+ faculty and extended site communications via Constant Contact. Maintain WebNet+ calendar
The person in this role will coordinate with Centralized Scheduling team across extended campuses to manage WebNet+. In coordinating with this team, this individual will: Work with them to create a functional, dispersed team Train representatives on aspects of the administrative process (processing WN+ applications, inputting faculty into training, answering questions, and tracking completion of tasks) Create multi-term scheduling for WebNet+ classes Coordinate with other departments to facilitate online major offerings via WebNet+ Cooperates with colleagues on the Faculty and Student support team in managing: OLC communications to faculty, students, and other constituencies Produces data and reports for distribution Assists in call campaigns, answering student questions, registration requests, diagnosing student issues, and making expert referrals Webster Universitys Online Learning Center utilizes the process of Agile Project Management. Participation in this process is part of daily responsibilities. There are varied levels of participation that are not dependent upon the position within the Online Learning Center.
