The incumbent will be responsible for writing PHP code as a member of a development team with the University of Pittsburgh. Tasks will include code writing, testing, database development, and documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Responsibilities include: Design and develop front and back-end of custom web based application; Code, test and troubleshoot; Collaborate with development team and key users to improve product quality and user experience; Manage multiple priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner; Independently seek out solutions to technical and design challenges.
BS in Computer or Information Science, related degree or Associate with 2-5 years experiences.
Relational database knowledge Proficient in UI design and mobile application development Strong work ethic, self-motivated, well-organized
Preferred Skills: Laravel Framework; Eloquent; Source control using Git; Agile development; Experience with webservers and cloud services such as AWS; Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Moodle)
