The Senior Writer/Communications Manager serves as a lead writer and project manager for annual fundraising and alumni relations communications projects.
The primary responsibility for this position is developing and executing a multi-channel communications plan, which includes: writing copy; directing design; producing print collateral and web, e-mail, and social media content; video production; and photo management.
The incumbent must have experience writing for higher education and/or non-profit organizations and must possess exceptional project management skills, a strong service orientation, and a highly collegial and collaborative approach in servicing the needs of various departments throughout the division. Experience with direct marketing and email marketing for higher education and/or non-profit organizations is preferred.
Bachelor's required; Master's preferred.
6 years of communications experience required.
Knowledge of or experience working with underserved/diverse populations is a plus.
