1) The Senior Director of Career Management for Full-Time, Evening, and Weekend MBA Programs is a member of the Career Services senior leadership team and takes an active role in driving collaboration across Career Services, the School, and the University.
2) This role, which is co-domiciled at the Harper and Gleacher Centers, drives the strategic direction of career management for students in the Full-Time MBA (590 students per class), the Evening (750 students), and Weekend MBA (450 students) Programs, as well as alumni in North and South America.
3) Lead a team of coaches to provide individual career coaching, create and deliver career management and career research programming (workshops), facilitate panels, and source expert alumni and corporate volunteers, with dual foci on the needs of experienced working professionals across a wide variety of business functions and industries and full-time students who often seek significant career pivots from their pre-business school careers.
4) Build and maintain a culture of identifying and leveraging synergies among the career coaches at the two locations.
5) Play an active role on the Career Services senior leadership team to ensure that all constituents receive extraordinary support commensurate with their career needs and to facilitate a collaborative culture across all Career Services functions, Booth campuses, and the University.
6) Lead and drive a 13-member team with direct reports in two Chicago locations, to assess alumni and Full-Time, Evening, and Weekend MBA student needs, and to develop strategies to meet these needs.
7) Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Career Services Operations to share resources and strategic priorities and approaches.
8) Collaborate closely with Director of Executive MBA Career Management and team to share resources and programmatic synergies.
9) Collaborate closely with Senior Director of Employer Relations and team to share resources, employment trends, and company observations.
10) Oversee staff recruitment, budget management, programming (in person and virtual), student and alumni intranet content, career research, and coaching.
11) Lead cross-Booth coordinated efforts to design and implement strategic solutions.
12) Organize and manage the design, development, and delivery of student and alumni career management solutions.
13) Coach domestic and international students on appropriate career management and job search skills in one-on-one, small, and large group settings; present to groups ranging from 5 to 300.
14) Keep abreast of market trends as they relate to the job search (career change) and career advancement (promotion) processes.
15) Oversee partnerships with industry, regional, and/or functional student groups to assist in planning and delivering career-management related programming.
1) Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

3) Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

8) Significant knowledge of and experience using on-line resources, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
9) An understanding of and appreciation for the needs and concerns of a diverse MBA student body.
10) Work independently with little supervision; possess a self-motivated disposition; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes within a fast-paced working environment.
11) Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
12) Work on evenings and weekends regularly and travel domestically.
1) Masterâ™s degree in business, counseling, or related field.
