The Vendor Management Analyst II is responsible for the administration of the contract management process for the Office of Information Technology (OIT). This role will work with people in the OIT Management to report, monitor and manage key financial and contractual performance indicators.
Under general direction, participates in the selection and implementation of IT supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness. Collaborates with procurement colleagues to assist with developing statements of work (SOWs) and understand any current requests for information (RFIs), requests for quotation (RFQs), and requests for proposal (RFPs) that are in the pipeline. Responsible for managing the hardware/software/service renewals for OIT, while ensuring they are processed in a timely manner. Administer commercial and financial arrangements with vendors to include billing, invoicing, performance incentives and remedies, and internal chargebacks, where appropriate. Monitors vendor compliance with contractual obligations and measures performance based on company criteria. Effectively communicate a clear and concise contract overview (summary of key contract terms, risks, opportunities, and service delivery guidelines) to key stakeholders, and provide clarity on contract elements when required. Maintains relationships with vendor contacts in order to resolve complaints and to report the status of the relationship to senior management. Manage contract review meetings to ensure delivery against objectives and contract budgets. Develop regular reports on contract milestones, execution/risk, and inform internal customers, vendors, and management of activities and progress through regular written and verbal communication. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 3 to 5 years of higher experience with negotiating and managing contract life cycle, IT service delivery, IT contract management, or general vendor management with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreement or the equivalent experience.
Knowledge of project management.
Experience with state regulations and guidelines.
5 years of experience with negotiating and managing contract life cycle, IT service delivery, IT contract management, or general vendor management with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreement.
Experience in handling large complex contracts in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software or services.
