Manage emergency response programs at the NEIDL and other related programs under the direction of the Chief Safety Officer. Facilitates emergency exercises and drills with NEIDL staff in accordance with local, state and federal requirements. The Program Manager will have an understanding of the BU Incident command system, including the incident command structure of external responders including Boston emergency medical, fire, and police personnel. The ability to assemble, teach, test, critique and improve coordinated response plans with both internal and external responders. Works with BUs Director of Emergency Management in the development of Continuity of Operations Plans for departments, schools and colleges throughout the University. Responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving emergency response training for NEIDL and EHS staff. Coordinating training and familiarization tours for external responders to the NEIDL.
B.A./B.S., self-motivation and ability to work independently, project management skills and the ability to manage program development involving multiple individuals, availability for a 24 hour/7 day position that supports EHS response team members and BU incident commanders as needed. Three to five years of emergency management or related experience.
