We are seeking a Systems Analyst on the Patient Financial Services IT Support team. In this role you will be an integral member of the team working directly with end users and fellow IT staff to perform system analysis activities under limited supervision and contribute in areas that require high level of technical competency.
Participate in project related work to implement new or enhance existing processes. This work will require documenting requirements and helping to develop the solutions necessary to implement such processes.
Participate and lead QA testing activities for software release and upgrade activities.
Quickly learn our systems environment and provide daily support to reported issues and project related activities. This includes taking part in an oncall rotation to provide after hours support to the team's supported applications.
Learn and follow the domain strategy and configuration management processes and change controls to implement changes.
Work with technical leaders and other developers/analysts to develop repeatable processes and best practices.
Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement of existing processes.
Experience performing system and data analysis and technical tasks in complex projects
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to develop and document testing scripts
Ability to develop and document process flows preferred
Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures.
Understanding of interface concepts and support needs preferred
Working knowledge of administrative systems and software applications including MS Office, MS Project, and MS Visio.
Knowledge of HL7 and x12 (HIPAA EDI) standards preferred.
Must be a committed, enthusiastic team player, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Strong interpersonal communications and consulting skills. Maintain strong communications with Project Leader/Manager/Team Leader as well as other team/staff members, end-users and vendors to ensure a productive and cooperative environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
Knowledge and experience with Soarian Financials or similar financial /business applications, clinical applications in hospital or other health network environment.
Preferred knowledge with General Ledger build and configuration.
Preferred knowledge with Hospital and Physician based charge processing.
Education and Required Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.
Minimum of five years of experience in systems and data analysis and/or programming required with project management or leadership responsibilities.
