Replicate regular reports once designed by the Associate or Assistant Dean, with minimal supervision and guidance
Maintain Balanced Scorecard, PMI and Impact Measure dashboards in the CMS for the College using data provided by others
Work with the Associate/Assistant Dean to prepare AACSB reports such as BSQ
Assist the co-chairs of the Strategic Planning Committee and the Director of Assessment in inputting Seidman data into GVAdvance
Pull data from the Voluntary System for Accountability, EAB Navigate, and AACSB data resources as needed to fulfill information needs
Maintain audience database lists – additions and accuracy and assist with mail merges when needed
Proficient with administering surveys through online tools such as Qualtrics or Survey Monkey
Detail oriented, organized and efficient with maintaining databases
Proficient at visualizing data by creating useful info-graphics, charts and graphs
Able to learn about different types of data and exercise good judgement about when to apply data to different operational questions in concert with the Associate or Assistant Dean
Proficient at pulling data from University sources (e.g. Institutional Analysis, Career Services, Alumni Services, Development) to address information needs and answer straightforward questions posed by Seidman faculty, staff and leadership
Maintain the organization of the Seidman Dean’s Office shared drive
Modify Digital Measures inputs and reports (cross trained with Assistant to the Dean) to guide faculty input and allow for the desired reporting of faculty information in support of College and University processes
Able to guide and support new faculty in the use of Digital Measures
Proficient with the GVSU CMS and assist with Seidman website updates
Track and analyze data on Seidman social media sites
Proficient with using Constant Contact or similar communication tools to reach internal and external audiences
Update content on Seidman displays and virtual calendars throughout the building
Skilled at learning new technologies deemed critical for Seidman by college leadership team and able to provide support to Seidman faculty and staff in the use of these new technologies (e.g. Bluescape, video conferencing, Panopto)
Resource Management & Analysis
Provide assistance to the Associate/Assistant Dean in compiling data and preparing analysis of Seidman resources (e.g. faculty, staff, technology, facilities) to inform resource allocation and requests
Support the college scheduling process
Knowledgeable about data management and retention practices
Maintain and regularly coordinate a review and update of College record retention policies and work with the Assistant Dean to ensure that the policy is implemented across the College
Provide administrative support for the Associate or Assistant Dean as assigned (e.g. calendar support, meeting scheduling, travel planning)
Work with the Assistant Dean to oversee administration of the mid-semester course evaluation process for Seidman. Maintain relationships as needed to efficiently implement the process
Ability to think through data and technology needs and problem solve as needed
Possess good intuition with storing and using data
Respond to questions/complaints and resolve problems which may require knowledge and interpretation of University and Seidman policies and procedures
Assigned to support special projects utilizing data, technology and technical skills
Carries out daily job responsibilities and works with a high degree of independence
Other related duties as assigned
Process community research contracts for the Seidman Research Office.
Serve as back-up for contact with Watermark – Digital Measures vendor.
Provides support for Seidman events if requested.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
Experience with various computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or equivalent.
Data entry experience.
Typing and spelling competency with grammar and proofreading skills.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
