The PSEO Coordinator and Admission Specialist provides leadership and oversight of the PSEO program at Saint Paul College. This position will oversee and manage the PSEO program, its processes, policies and new and current students in their academic success at Saint Paul College. This position directly supports prospective and current PSEO students regarding admissions, assessment, registration, PSEO contracts and application and general college information. This position also will maintain ongoing contact and communication with the same constituents with the goal of increasing enrollment and student success for Saint Paul College. The person in this positions is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) staff, as well as, SPPS students and their families, in promoting Post-Secondary Educational Options (PSEO). All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.
1 year minimum student services related experience;
Experience working with a diverse and underrepresented student population;
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
Experience using computers and software in a Windows environment;
Ability to track data in an organized and accurate manner, and report that data;
Experience working independently and as a team member;
Must be willing to work flexible hours, which may include some evenings and weekends.
1 year experience in higher education student services;
1 year experience working in an urban community/technical college;
Experience working with PSEO or high school students
Strong planning and project management skills;
Working knowledge of enrollment management concepts and procedures, student admissions procedures, transfer procedures, job placement, career development, and a general knowledge of the College and its programs;
Previous experience working with students, parents and outside professionals.

With its 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota. The colleges and universities operate 54 campuses in 47 Minnesota communities and serve about 250,000 students in credit-based courses. Overall, the system produces about 33,500 graduates each year. In addition to credit-based courses, the system offers customized training programs that serve about 153,200 employees from 6,000 Minnesota businesses each year. The law creating the system was passed by the Minnesota Legislature in 1991 and went into effect July 1, 1995.
