ResponsibilitiesThe Communications and Network Technical Analyst 3 will report to the IT Facilities Implementation Supervisor. This position will be responsible for the implementation of all IT Facilities and Facilities Design & Construction projects in deploying data network services, and respond to issues for IT Facilities Projects. The Communications and Network Technical Analyst 3 will be involved in working closely with Unified Communications, Security, and IT Facilities Construction project managers to install, implement and resolve network performance and monitoring issues for IT Facilities projects. Required Qualifications
3-5 years' experience with large enterprise professional Cisco and network system architecture.
3-5 years' experience installing and maintaining an enterprise size data network technology architecture and design.
3-5 years' experience Implementing WAN and LAN protocols including dynamic protocols (OSPF) gateway protocols (BGP, EIGRP) and backbone protocols.
3-5 years' experience with the standards, protocols, installation and maintenance procedures of Ethernet and Ethernet hardware.
Network Professional (CCNP) or (CCNA) certification.
Experience with of various network hardware platforms, network related protocols and software including understanding of OSI layer 2 and 3 protocols, and experience with VRF technology and spanning trees, etc.
Experience with VLAN tunnels, configuration and implementation.
Experience and problem-solving skills to quickly assess problems, evaluate options, decide and resolve problems.
Experience and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working on an implementation team supporting construction projects for large enterprise data networks and applications.
Moderate Experience installing and maintaining a Cisco data networks.
Experience working with LAN/WAN protocols including dynamic routing protocols (OSPF), gateway protocols (BGP, EIGRP) and backbone protocols.
Experience using problem-solving skills and techniques to resolve unique issues and problems.
Experience gathering, organizing and analyze data in the completion of a variety of functional assignments.
Experience in communicating technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Experienced in interpreting manuals to configure hardware or identify the source of a problem and take corrective action.
Valid California driver's License
Must be able to work extra hours (nights and weekends) when required.
Must be able to lift to 40 lbs. Speak, hear and see well enough to perform system configurations and telephone consulting on own or with reasonable accommodation.
