Coordinates administrative processes & prioritizes, directs, & responds to business matters involving administrative functions associated with education, research, &/or operations. Creates and maintains associated documents, spreadsheets, databases, meetings, special events, etc. & alerts supervisor of critical issues & upcoming events.
This position supports the Direct Appeals team within Annual Giving. Responsibilities include program support for Loyalty & Stewardship, daily reports and follow-up for the Phonathon program, central gift cart creation, editing, reporting, data checking, and project management for the direct mail team.
Independently responds to & composes correspondence. May create & maintain standard spreadsheets &/or databases & prepares queries, reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc. based on information compiled from various sources; determines format, elements, trends, etc.
Assist with Annual Giving stewardship efforts and NU Loyal projects.
Assist with data checking for solicitations; review data for accuracy; proofread direct mail and e-mail projects.
Process daily and weekly updates for Phonathon program; send pledge reminder emails and letters; send data updates to GRS team.
Maintains websites &/or blogs which may include creating new web pages &/or updating standard information/data within the application’s content management program.
Create and maintain all Central ARD gift carts.
Update online Honor Roll.
Screens & prioritizes incoming calls. Responds to inquiries & may provide basic interpretation of policies & procedures. Researches information to resolve problems or issues.
Answer 800 line and respond to inquiries from alumni; research information to resolve problems or issues; take gifts over the phone. Independently respond to & compose correspondence.
Performs other duties as assigned
A high school diploma or its equivalent along with 4 years of administrative support experience is required.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software programs is required.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Experience in higher education fundraising or non-profit organization preferred.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products is preferred.
Experience working with iModules is preferred.
