Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Project Manager to work in the Rutgers School of Health Professions, Department of Health Informatics and Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine. This position will coordinate projects and initiatives related to clinical and translational workforce development in NJ ACTS, and NIHCTSA Hub. Additional support program activities include working as a Teaching Assistant and coordinating Captsone Contracts in the Clinical Trial Sciences (CTS) Program, which may include assisting in the development of internship programs, manage internship application process and request and track progress reports.
Coordinates operational tasks to ensure timely progress of multiple research which will include communicating via email, phone, and online meetings to internal stakeholders.
Maintains and develops the NJ ACTS web portal and training records in relation to Workforce Development Core.
Evaluates the training needs of individuals or groups, and works with Core leads to match individual needs to appropriate training. Assists with the development of courses as needed, working across NJ ACTS.
Implements project plans, tracks tasks and deliverables, resolves and escalates issues in a timely fashion.
Performs Teaching Assistant responsibilities with the MS CTS Program.
Participates in annual performance review evaluations.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science or Biomedical Science or a related discipline.
Six (6) years of progressively related experience, of which two (2) should be in Clinical Research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated understanding of the following: clinical research procedures, drug development process, study protocols, informed consent, Institutional Review Board, patient recruitment, FDA, clinical trial drug safety, adherence to research SOPs, maintenance of regulatory documents and adherence to good Clinical Practices.
Knowledge with managing projects and clinical studies, research and data management, working with websites and data sets.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with attention to detail.
Flexible team player.
Master’s Degree in Clinical Research.
Project Management experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Occasional travel to different campuses. Will need to provide own transportation
