In order to help meet the goals of the strategic plan, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Project Manager will be a key contributor in assuring the success of the NHEC strategic goals. This position will help define a project management environment and supporting culture throughout the organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for personally managing key projects while also providing leadership in mentoring other employees learning the new project management culture.
Establishing a new project management organization based on solid project management best practices.
Defines clear project charters while managing projects in accordance with the charter definition.
Prepares monthly project reports and presentations for management.
Creates project plans for project and product prioritization and implementation steps.
Partners with business sponsors to define clear success metrics.
Mentors key personnel managing smaller projects, emphasizing a culture of both ownership and empowerment.
Responsible for assessing and reporting priority risks early in the project life cycle.
Helps build a culture embracing project management methodology.
Strives for operational excellence that follows the NHEC core values
Five to ten years of recent experience managing medium to large technical projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field.
Must be proficient with the latest project portfolio management tools.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while identifying priorities, communicating progress and ensuring deadlines are met
Ability to work well with all levels of team members with different backgrounds and needs.
Able to adjust priorities on short notice, manage interruptions, and work well under pressure.
