Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Project Manager I in the Practice Management Department at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The Project Manager I plans and directs design, measurement, analysis, implementation and control plan for process improvement projects. Performs analysis of clinical data systems and makes modifications to data to ensure adherence with various quality programs including the Oncology Care Model (OCM), MIPS, meaningful use, and other quality metric measures for personnel and process performance.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
In consultation with the Admin Director, Managers and/or users, formulates project objectives, assembles interdisciplinary teams and executes small-scale projects to improve and advance workflows.
Prepares project plans and schedules, including goals, metrics, current & future states, root cause analysis, and control plans.
Selects interdisciplinary staff for the project team as indicated by project SIPOC, stakeholders & champion(s).
Facilitates participant activities for duration of project and reports out team progress and performance to appropriate leadership.
Pilots & measures workflow changes within a small scope prior to implementing on a broader scale.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in related field plus two (2) years of related project management experience.
At least one (1) year of experience working in: SQL, NoSQL, Python, R, Java, Perl, C/C++, BI dashboard maintenance, ARIA, CERNER and/or EPIC.
Must have experience working with electronic medical records.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training demonstrating the ability to perform the essential duties of the position may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates expert-level experience in developing analytical dashboards with tools such as Tableau and SAP Business Intelligence. Data retrieval experience.
Must be able to translate CMS requirements in to appropriate filters and queries and experience working directly in reporting CMS quality measures (OCM, MIPS, Meaningful Use).
Candidate should demonstrated understanding of big data tools such as, but not limited to, Hadoop, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch.
The ideal candidate will be detailed orientated, have excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.
Must be able to hold self-accountable to high standards of professional excellence, be able to maximize resources and be resourceful, seeks and accepts personal and professional responsibility on a continued basis.
Must demonstrate effective oral and communication skills.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
