Where the Chemistry Happens
The SAP Business Analyst has Master Data and Business Process responsibility providing Master Data process technology and expertise in the creation and maintenance of SAP articles as well as developing and implementing processes within assigned area of responsibility.
Additionally, this position:
Acts as the team lead for the material master data coordinators, supporting day to day material master maintenance processes
Develop, implement and take ownership of SAP business processes
Coordinates data quality initiatives in collaboration with global / regional stakeholders and business units.
Assists the Manager, SAP Support with IT initiatives/projects supporting the Region.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree, with a focus on business or information technology (IT), is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science, or an associate degree, with a focus on IT, combined with 5+ years of work experience with performing business process analysis, data analysis, financial reporting, database management and/or process improvement, can be considered.
5 years of experience in Supply Chain, IT, Master Data or other business-related discipline
3 years of SAP experience - Master Data, MM, SD, PP, QM or related
Demonstrated collaboration with multiple business functions.
Knowledge of data storage domains and data quality management processes.
Ability to develop new procedures, strategies, and process improvements that will enhance business productivity and data quality.
Direct experience in project activities of medium to large IT projects.
Logical thinker, good business judgment.
Ability to influence and negotiate cross functionally without direct authority.
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
Ability to build strong team relationships.
Strong communication skills (written and oral), presentation skills and team facilitation skills.
Ability to understand business processes and translate into technical requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office applications including MS Access.
Team Lead - Coordinates master data maintenance processes and tasks for the material coordinators to follow
Ensure processes are completed in accordance with established service level agreements
Resolves data integrity issues across the business, which occur within various modules within SAP ( Master Data, MM, SD, PP, QM , and others)
Developing and implementing improvement and process optimization projects within assigned area of responsibility
Documenting processes and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Conducting training with pertinent business groups and individual customers
Uses analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and analyze data.
Coordinates data integrity efforts, cleanup activities and monitors data against established standards to ensure data accuracy.
Seeks opportunities to improve processes.
Supports the business with data downloads and reporting.
Educates others on various aspects of master data and related processes.
Participates on project teams to include supervision of contract employees as required.
Operate his/her area/function in accordance and awareness of Company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
Take immediate action to eliminate significant risk and to propose actions to eliminate non-conformances or deviations.
Ensure that individual responsibilities within the unit/function are clearly documented and communicated.
Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and other ISO regulations, procedures and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.
