Provides performance improvement services and supports major (cross-functional) initiatives as deemed appropriate. Systematically and systemically identify performance to improve performance through needs assessment/performance analysis, management of the project plan and implementation process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for guiding one or more larger scale projects throughout the Performance Improvement Process. 1) Conducts Needs Assessment/Performance Analysis, 2) Identify Root Cause, 3) Monitor Plan and Pilot, 4) Develop Implementation/Acceptance Plan 5) Measure Performance Results 6) Conduct Closure/Post Mortem Reviews.
Guides work flow of assigned teams to ensure that the Performance Improvement is followed and focused on results throughout the project, that a systemic view is applied, and a collaborative approach with the Business Units is taken to develop and support solutions that are in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
Manage projects to meet or exceed customer satisfaction, schedule, and budget.
Lead performance / process improvement projects as assigned.
Possess in-depth knowledge of all performance improvement process, tools, and of the methods the tools support.
Provide evening and weekend “performance improvement / project management” support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require our support at any time.
Provide performance improvement advice and counsel to less experienced personnel.
Keep leader informed of challenges and welcome constructive mentoring/coaching as a way to encourage growth.
Performs assignments independently with instructions from management, limited to results expected.
Informs management of progress as scheduled and/or on a need-to-know basis.
Balances resources, schedules, and financial factors while solving problems.
REQUIREMENTS:(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
A four-year degree in engineering, technical, management, or business related field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience with demonstrated project successes.
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of organizational leadership and work on all types of efforts (technical/non-technical, process, performance) in any organizational department.
CPT (Certified Performance Technologist) or equivalent preferred
