Senior Project ManagerUnder direction of the PMO Lead/Cloud Migration Architect, the Senior Project Manager applies advanced technical project management frameworks and methods and campus, medical center or Office of the President objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Determines methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Manages projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size, with considerable impact to the organization. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the IT project plan, project schedule, budget, scope, status, requirements analysis, and issue management of the development and implementation of assigned projects. The incumbent serves as a single point of contact for large-scale, highly technical projects, coordinates meetings, drives tasks, and tracks and reports on project status, risks, and issues. The incumbent is accountable for capturing, compiling, tracking, managing, documenting, communicating and escalating status, issues, and risks. Additionally, as member of UCI OIT's Project Manager Office (PMO), the candidate will help shape how the PMO serves the campus. This effort includes development of the overall strategy, structure, policies, document templates, and tools that define OIT's project management life cycle. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for supporting the IT needs of UC Irvine faculty, students, and staff. Our mission is to provide information technology leadership, services, and innovative solutions to promote the research, education and community service goals of the University. OIT Project Management Office provides leadership and coordination of large cross-functional projects.
