Edit and deliver HD video projects using Avid and/or Premiere non-linear editing systems. Videographer on field and studio shoots for corporate, documentary, and magazine programs, utilizing HD camera setup and operation, lighting setups and operation, and simple audio setups.
Digitize and edit HD video, audio, and graphics / animation elements on non-linear television editing equipment.
Shoot HD video in field and studio locations including composing images, camera operation, lighting setups and operation, and audio recording.
Train and lead hourly Temporary student employees in the operation of HD editing and field production equipment.
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Communications, or a related field and two years of professional experience in broadcast or high-end instructional or industrial television production, including hands-on experience with camera videography, lighting, audio, and editing on non-linear / digital editing systems.
Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Strong journalism skills and storytelling ability. Experience with Macintosh computers and Avid non-linear editing systems. Ability to manage projects and digital workflow. Ability to work both independently and closely with producers and directors within a deadline driven production atmosphere. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide diversity of individuals, through a variety of mediums (email, in-person). Ability to utilize broadcast quality ENG HD cameras and lighting setups.
Three years of experience.
Working Conditions / Demands
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment cases. Must have ability to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must have ability to work a computer for long periods of time.
