Job Opportunity We are seeking a veterinarian that has an interest in developing the surgical side of our veterinary practice. We currently offer routine (spay, neuter, etc.), gastro, cysto, etc type surgeries, but are missing the ortho facet of our patient surgical service offering. For an experienced DVM we will support, as necessary, with CE & equipment. This position is full-time (4 days per week, flexible schedule, requires working some weekends, no overnight calls) with benefits that you choose. Applicants must be focused on exceptional patient care and superior client service. All treatment plans are presented to clients by paraprofessional staff and veterinarian to paraprofessional ratio is 1:2 or 1:2.5. Job Responsibilities - Provide thorough physical exams of all body systems, on all pets examined
- Perform surgeries and supervise technicians performing dentals and dental x-rays (Our hospitals provide full-mouth dental x-rays as part of dental cleaning procedure for all patients)
- Read Dental x-rays, prescribe appropriate treatment, perform extractions
- Be able to communicate with all types of clients, remaining professional at all times
- Enter comprehensive medical notes and records into Practice Management Software in a timely manner
- Prescribe medications, treatments and appropriate follow up care
Qualifications and Skills - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a valid State of Florida license to practice veterinary medicine are required
- Must be personable, able to communicate with and direct staff and work as a member of a team
- Must have desire to provide the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for our highly-valued patients
- Able to handle a heavy case load while completing all records thoroughly
- Flexibility to accommodate emergencies and walk-ins during an already busy day
- Desire to develop professionally and continue learning

- No emergency duty after hours, or after-hours calls. Our hospitals are centrally located among four ER hospitals (within 20 minutes), two of which are 24-hr specialty hospitals.
- Competitive Salary, Experienced Associate veterinarians earn between $100,000 and 124,000 per year with a four-day work week.
- Experienced veterinarians, earn up to $150,000 per year with 5-day (45-hour) work week.
