The Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS) is a global interdisciplinary research center and publisher of the Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR). Stanford PACS develops and shares knowledge to improve philanthropy, strengthen civil society, and address societal challenges. By creating a shared space for scholars, students, and practitioners, Stanford PACS informs policy and social innovation, philanthropic investment, and nonprofit practice.
Position Summary: The Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS) seeks a creative and resourceful professional who will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director to assist with the execution of digital marketing strategies that enable our programs and events to meet their objectives.
This role will develop and implement strategies that span PACS' existing digital channels (website, email, social media), recommend additional channels, and engage the diverse audiences connected to Stanford PACS through its research programs and initiatives. This individual will also establish standards for PACS brand voice and tone on digital platforms, and ensure that communication and engagement activities align with measurable goals.
The Manager, Digital Engagement, will be responsible for shaping and implementing the strategy of Stanford PACS' website, newsletter, and social media channels, as well as assist in managing the Digital Impact platform, an initiative of the Digital Civil Society Lab at Stanford PACS. S/he will develop and track audience insights and metrics, and use them to guide messaging strategies across multiple channels and mediums. S/he will be expected to partner with the Stanford PACS' External Relations team to develop compelling strategies that drive engagement with PACS public events, as well as the biennial Philanthropy Innovation Summit, Stanford PACS' signature event. In addition, s/he will develop marketing, engagement, and storytelling frameworks that ensure Stanford PACS' overall marketing communications objectives are being met -connecting with the right audiences, through the right messaging, at the right time, and via the right channels.
This is a 100% FTE exempt position.

Recommend and execute marketing strategies to meet business objectives.
Implement integrated marketing communications and brand strategy, across a variety of channels (i.e., digital and print).
Manage marketing plans/programs to meet business objectives, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
Assess market opportunities and track market trends, and recommend marketing improvements based on findings.
Conduct market research, including competitive benchmarking, and analyze campaign/program/service/event effectiveness used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targeting
Oversee design and production of marketing materials from inception to deployment.
Manage project/program budgets and coordinate invoice processing.
Manage vendors/consultants on specific projects.
Oversee interns and provide staff training.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous experience in program and/or services marketing.
Understands how to implement integrated marketing programs across digital channels including digital and print.
Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Demonstrated problem solver.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
