The purpose of this Coordinator position is to ensure quality patient care by effectively providing a wide range of services where needed on an interim basis. This Coordinators role floats between facilities and assignments when staffing is needed to ensure effective and efficient operations of any Medical Staff Services Department, Payor Credentialing Department or the Provider Credentialing Services Department. This Coordinator may be expected to manage the Medical Staffs governance functions, provide leadership/supervision for other staff, analyze practitioner-specific patient care data, and perform all the task involved in evaluating/facilitating the credentialing functions at a hospital, educating and facilitating physician leadership support, department operations and project management. They may also be expected to perform the PSV and data collection/analyses and the database management functions of the PCS. Further, they may be expected to perform credentialing/onboarding/transition functions of the OMA. Within all of these work settings, they must develop and maintain knowledge in methodologies of data management and interpretation. This position will also encounter the challenges of providing these services both on-site at any/all Centura facilities, as well as remotely, when appropriate.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum of four years of work experience in a hospital/payor credentialing;
Two years leadership experience preferred
Previous data management and analysis experience, detail oriented and deadline driven.
Effective organizational and personal communication skills including written, verbal, attitudinal and persuasion skills.
Demonstrated success in functioning independently with initiative, creativity, and effective analytical problem solving
HS GED required
Bachelor's Degree in healthare related filed, preferred
Extensive training in healthcare credentialing required
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), preferred.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
This position will cover the Greater CO/KS group. An ideal candidate would be based in Southern Colorado (Colorado Springs or surrounding area). Travel will be required.
Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
