The Elisabeth Morrow School, a three-year-old through eighth-grade independent school in Englewood, New Jersey, seeks an Assistant to The Arts Department. This position is responsible for providing support to the Arts Department Chair as well as supporting all administrative areas of the Arts Department. This position involves performing a wide variety of administrative duties and reports to the Arts Department Chair.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage all rehearsal and concert schedules in and outside of school.
Organize and be proactive with communication to families, faculty and administration regarding, scheduling, rosters, calendar and performances.
Organize and maintain the music library. Maintaining current music for all ensembles with more than 300 students.
Collaborate with and initiate relationships outside art organizations on behalf of the school.
Assist in all scheduling of lessons, rehearsals and performances.
Project manage all performances, art shows, full-scale musicals.
Maintain accurate rosters and schedules for all students and faculty.
Establish office procedures and systems for the arts department.
Undertake special projects as requested by the Arts Department Chair.
Work as a collaborative member of a team in a school environment.

Bachelor’s degree required
Experience working in an educational institution preferred
