The Instructional Technology Consultant in the Office of Assessment, Data Management, and Digital Learning will provide support to faculty, students, and institutional partners for immersive simulations. In addition, the consultant will provide support to COE faculty and students for digital learning and distance education.
manage all operations for the Mursion immersive simulation program including scheduling and logistics, progress monitoring, financial oversight, customer and stakeholder relations, and program evaluation;
develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to maximize Mursion program efficiency, effectiveness, and growth;
collaborate with faculty within the College of Education and across the university to secure external funding opportunities;
maintain existing internal and external Mursion customer contracts while identifying and cultivating new relationships with potential Mursion users and customers;
design and deliver a variety of professional development for faculty and P-12 partners incorporating immersive simulation components;
consult with, support, and train faculty to engage emerging technologies including the Canvas LMS to improve educator candidate learning outcomes;
design and build online learning modules, produce and edit videos, and assist in creating and using other media.
Additional responsibilities include:
developing and delivering professional development to teacher education faculty and candidates that will address NC Digital Learning Competencies;
performing statistical analysis, interpreting and evaluating results, and contributing to reports, presentations, and scholarly publications;
providing research support for faculty on practice-based research projects;
other assignments by the Director and/or Dean of the College.

Master's Degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field including but not limited to Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or Instructional Technology. Documented experience with learning management systems, distance education, training and development. Excellent communication skills which include written communication, technical writing, and oral presentation skills. Professional experience should include evidence of planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
