The primary role of this position will be to provide support for the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence at IU Northwest. The part-time coordinator duties will include the following: provide consistent and timely customer service for the Center and its stakeholders, greet in-person visitors, receiving and documenting messages (phone and email), prepare meeting agendas, and maintain records and databases. The position also will support outreach and marketing efforts, including scheduling/coordinating workshops, assisting workshop instructors, and monitoring workshop participation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide consistent and timely customer service by greeting in-person visitors to CURE, receiving and documenting messages, answering/returning phone and email inquiries, and providing appropriate information and referrals; maintain program/initiative records and databases to include both hardcopy and digital files.
Support outreach and marketing efforts by creating promotional materials, posting to the CURE Facebook pages, updating the Garden LibGuide, maintaining CURE's IUN Collaboratory activities, and reviewing the CURE webpages for needed updates; research tools used by CURE to build programs
Help prepare of meeting agendas, presentations, summaries, and other materials; support activities/events by inventorying, organizing, transporting/setup of supplies.
Assist instructors with programs/workshops by greeting participants, taking attendance, distributing/collecting releases and evaluations, and ensuring paperwork is completed and filed.
Assist with the scheduling/coordinating meetings to include creating, tracking, and reporting on the results of a Doodle Poll; attend campus and/or community meetings.
Other duties as Assigned.

Self-motivated and interested in learning new skills. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Microsoft Access.
