Typical duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Managing and producing the main HDS website and associated web and social media channels, helping maintain an editorial calendar and creating rich and substantive content
Producing or helping to oversee the production of a blend of media outputs, including animations, podcasts, videos, digital and print publications, graphics and brand identities
Demonstrating creativity in content design, translating text and other story forms into multimedia stories and experiences
Formally and informally advising HDS staff, faculty, and others on communications initiatives related to their work and on communications best practices
Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting communications-related analytics, culling insights to inform future projects
Engaging and maintaining relationships with communications professionals around the University
Managing survey creation and reporting using technologies such as Qualtrics
Assisting in creating and distributing interactive email newsletters
Helping maintain the highest standards of multimedia accessibility and universal design
Managing and enforcing the HDS Style Manual
In addition to the above, the Digital Multimedia Producer will interface with HDS IT and Media Services staff and external vendors regarding technical aspects of communications-related projects, including: project managing the ongoing maintenance of the HDS website; guiding content management system use and training; managing communications data; and other technology-related issues. Performs other duties as necessary.

Bachelor's degree is required and a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience.
The successful applicant will have:
A demonstrated track record of managing and producing quality written and multimedia content for various digital platforms, including content management systems such as OpenScholar and WordPress and social marketing and outreach tools such as MailChimp, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, as well as web analytics, SEO, and tools for tracking and boosting content reach
Experience with developing and adapting content for new platforms, translating work for different audiences (both broadly and specifically defined), and picking up new storytelling tools and techniques
Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate sound judgment, high ethical standards, discretion, and tact
Thrive working both independently and closely with teams and collaborators in a diverse, dynamic environment
Demonstrate enthusiasm and confidence when encountering challenges, problems or new tasks; and a good sense of humor
Have a strong desire to advance the mission and strategic goals of Harvard Divinity School.
Familiarity or better with some set of the following:
Media production tools such as DSLR and smartphone cameras, microphones, and video cameras
Digital graphic design, illustration, and video/audio/photo software, such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, and Acrobat
HTML and CSS
Experience with Slate (online admissions recruitment platform) a plus
