Cornell Tech and the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invite applications for a part-time (approximately 50%) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position for the Johnson at Cornell Tech MBA program, with a start date of July 1, 2020. Applicants should have research and teaching interests related to management, leadership, marketing, innovation, design thinking, or entrepreneurship. The position will be based at Cornell Tech in New York City; however, travel to Ithaca, NY for some teaching will be required. This is an academic year, benefits eligible position for a term of up to three years with eligibility for renewal.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Master’s degree or other graduate level degree and have several years of practice and teaching experience at the graduate and professional level in the desired field(s). Successful candidates will deliver exemplary teaching at the Master’s degree level, will mentor and advise students and class & entrepreneurial projects, and will offer a strong contribution outside of the classroom to an interdisciplinary teaching, research, and entrepreneurial environment. Following Cornell Tech's mission of integrating technology, business, law and design in service of economic impact and societal good, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated prior success in mission-aligned areas through impactful research, teaching, technology transfer, entrepreneurial endeavors, and/or leadership.
The Johnson School and Cornell Tech jointly operate a Tech MBA program on the Cornell Tech campus in New York city. The Johnson School also operates other MBA programs in New York city and in Ithaca. Responsibilities of the position include teaching in area(s) of expertise at the Master’s level in programs on both campuses.
